Excel: Single Digit Dates

Typically formatting days in excel can get you as short as “Mon,Tue,Wed”, but in the process of never needing to shorten that to a single letter, I found this formula as the solution.

Using =CHOOSE(WEEKDAY(cell w/ date),”S”,”M”,”T”,”W”,”T”,”F”,”S”) , you can have excel give you a single letter date corresponding to a date that already exists on your spreadsheet.

Using the WEEKDAY formula by itself will give you a corresponding 1-7 based on the day of the week it is. CHOOSE then creates a container for which the 1-7 are assigned the seven text parameters you provide it with.

Why does every listing for “personal websites” list things like ‘testimonials’? Are there “personal websites” anymore? Has it all moved to social media? This isn’t about news, and I’m not here to sell you anything. Well, not sell you anything here (I’m sure i can find another section of the website for that, right?).

This post is just a test

….despite whatever you want to believe. Red pills are cherry. Blue pills are raspberry. I’m going to try to put up something every day if I can, maybe not a blog post, maybe just a section at a time. Slowly but surely, I’ll get it to something that I’ll like (crosses fingers).

The advantage of Latin origin and nonsense content Lorem ipsum prevents the reader from being distracted by the content of the text and thus can focus its attention on graphic design. Indeed the text Lorem Ipsum has the advantage in contrast to a generic text using variable word length to simulate a normal occupancy of the model so that it matches the final product and to ensure future unaltered publication.

The false text also gives not a realistic overview of typographic grayscale, especially in the case of justified text. The spacing of the false text is still somewhat higher than with a real text, which will present look darker and less readable than the false text with which the designer made his trials. This can distort the final presentation of printing.
